How it Works

This tool translates your standard QWERTY keystrokes into the colemak layout in real-time. As you type in the left box, each character is mapped to its corresponding key on a colemak keyboard and displayed in the right box. For example, typing 'e' on your QWERTY keyboard will appear as 'f', because the 'e' key is in the 'f' position on a colemak layout. This allows you to see what you would be typing if you were using a different keyboard layout without changing any system settings.
